The Community
Action for the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders (CARE) Network
was formed in May 2000 to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation
of ex-offenders in Singapore. The CARE Network engages the community in rehabilitation,
co-ordinates member agencies' activities and develops initiatives for ex-offenders. |

The CARE Network brings together major community and government organisations
responsible for rehabilitation of ex-offenders.

| Responsibilities |

Set guidelines and directions for the comprehensive provision of aftercare support services for discharged
ex-offenders and their families.

Co-ordinate the efforts of the member organisations and external agencies to provide a seamless transition
between incare and aftercare.

Raise the level of public awareness and concern about the needs/problems faced by ex-offenders and
their families.

Identify and recommend funding for appropriate CARE Network initiatives run by aftercare organisations.
