The activity seeks to organise the community, through the help of CARE Network, aftercare agencies, the Home Team, VWOs and community partners, employers, religious organisations, schools and grassroots organisations, to wear the yellow ribbon during the week from 2 – 9 Oct 2004. Wearing the Yellow Ribbon symbolically displays the community’s support and acceptance towards ex-offenders and their families. Yellow ribbons will be sold at $1 each and proceeds will go towards the Yellow Ribbon Fund. Yellow Ribbons would continue to be worn throughout the year at rehab-related events.
